Man caught with cannabis in Harryville has been fined £150

A man caught with around £20 worth of cannabis in Ballymena’s Harryville area has been fined £150.

Ronald Robinson (41), of Shancoole, Ballymena, had the offence detected on June 20 this year at Brooke Park in the town.

He told police it was for personal use.

Defence solicitor Nigel McIlrath said the defendant had a “very small amount” of the Class B drug.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court.
