Man charged with having knife as offensive weapon at Galgorm Road in Ballymena

A man has been charged with possessing a knife at the Traveller’s Rest at Ballymena’s Galgorm Road and making a threat to kill a man.

Stefan Ralston (29), whose address was given as Larne Road in Ballymena, is also accused of receiving stolen goods – a suitcase, pots and pans, a hoover and a plant pot stand – belonging to the Traveller’s Rest.

The charges relate to May 20 this year.

The defendant appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court and the case was adjourned to June 27.

He was remanded in custody in connection with other matters the details of which were not given to the court.
