Man charged with several thefts in Ballymena is further remanded in custody

A MAN charged with several thefts has been further remanded in custody.

Anthony Ramsey (31), of Slemish Drive in Ballymena, is accused of burglary at a garage at a house at Waveney Brow in Ballymena on February 6 this year.

On the same date he is charged with stealing newspapers belonging to Wineflair.

Regarding February 5 he is charged with stealing meat worth £32 and £38 from Co-Op.

The defendant is further charged with stealing perfume worth £72 from Boots Chemists in Ballymena and possession of Diazepam on December 6 last year.He is also accused of stealing a strimmer from a dwelling at Cushendall Road, Ballymena, on October 30 last year and the theft of goods worth £10 from Spar on October 29.

The defendant is also charged with possessing cannabis on November 7 last year.

Ramsey appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday via video link from prison and the case was adjourned for a week.
