Man denies charges including allegedly causing unnecessary suffering to a dog

A MAN denies charges of assaulting a female, causing criminal damage to a door and causing unnecessary suffering to a dog.

Ryan Christopher John Hatton (36), with an address listed as Dunclug Park in Ballymena, is accused of committing offences on August 29 this year.

He appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court where the defence barrister was Neil Moore.

The defendant was given bail of £500 with conditions that he is not to contact the alleged injured party and he is not to enter Mill Mews in Ballymena.

The case was adjourned to October 10 to fix a date for a contest.
