Man denies having offensive weapon at Tower Centre

A MAN denies possessing an offensive weapon – a flick baton – at Ballymena’s Tower Centre.

Macauley Pollard (25), with an address listed as Lanntara in Ballymena, also denies receiving ‘stolen goods’ – a lap top.

The charges relate to dates in June this year.

He has pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court where Stewart Ballentine was the defence solicitor and it has been adjourned to October 24 to fix a date for a contest.
