Man denies possessing knife in a public place in Ballymena

A MAN denies a charge of possessing a knife in a public place – Ballymena’s Dunclug Gardens.

Rory Duff (32), whose address was given as Station View, Glarryford, has admitted other charges relating to the same date – November 28 last year.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday he pleaded guilty to being disorderly at Dunclug Gardens; possessing cannabis and assaulting three police officers.

The case was adjourned to the end of February to fix a date for the knife charge to be contested.
