Man faces charges including driving without due care and attention at Crankill Road

A MAN faces charges including driving without due care and attention on the Crankill Road near Ballymena.

David Morris Tweed (42), of Belford Park, Ballymoney, is also charged with ‘aggravated vehicle taking causing damage’.

It is alleged he took a Ford Fiesta without the consent of the owner and the vehicle was then involved in a collision with a Seat Leon.

The defendant is also charged with insurance and driving licence offences.

The charges relate to May 27, 2018.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court on January 2 where the defence barrister was Michael Smyth.

The matter has been adjourned to January 16 to get the defendant’s attitude to the charges he faces.
