Paddy McGothigan.

A MAN charged with assaulting three doctors and a nursing sister as well as being disorderly at Coleraine’s Causeway Hospital gave an army-style salute from the dock to a judge whilst saying “Sir, yes Sir”.

Paddy McGothigan (31), of Fogarty Crescent in Ballycastle, is also accused of assaulting four police officers and causing criminal damage to a PSNI flak jacket.

The charges relate to November 24 last year.

On the way into the dock the defendant hugged a female prison officer whilst telling her “Hello pet”.

The case was mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court where the full details of the hospital incident have not yet been outlined.

The court heard there were “video clips” in relation to the alleged incidents of November 24.

The case was adjourned to March.
