Man had baton at shopping centre

A man has admitted possessing an offensive weapon – a baton – at the Tower Centre in Ballymena.

Ross Cuthbert (25), whose address was originally listed as Mount Street in the town, was also in possession of cannabis on the same date – June 28.

The defendant, whose defence solicitor at Ballymena Magistrates Court was Stewart Ballentine, had his case adjourned to the end of August for a pre-sentence report.
