Man had crossbow at Queen Street in Ballymena

A Ballymena man has pleaded guilty to having an offensive weapon – a crossbow – at Queen Street in the town.

Ryan Lynn (22), of Kintyre Park, has also admitted assault and possessing cannabis.
The charges relate to March this year.

A charge of making a threat to kill the person he assaulted was withdrawn.

The defendant was at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday where his defence solicitor was Stephen McCann.

The case has been adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
