A man has pleaded guilty to having a Samurai Sword at McDonald’s in Ballymena on July 13 this year.
Darren Hayes (23), of Patrick Place in Ballymena, appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court today and admitted a charge of possessing an article with a blade in a public place.
The defendant, who had a previous record, had John McAtamney as his solicitor.
The case was adjourned to September for a pre-sentence report.
No further details were given in court about the McDonald’s incident.
