Man is accused of being disorderly in run up to Christmas

A MAN is accused of being disorderly at Market Square in Antrim on December 21.

Reece Devine (23), of York Lodge in Antrim, is also charged with assaulting and resisting a police officer.

He appeared at court on December 23.

He was also accused of breaching bail within days of being banned from drinking or being on licensed premises after being charged with assault.

A police officer said police were called to licenced premises on December 21 where the the defendant was outside causing a disturbance.

The defendant failed a preliminary breath test in connection with his bail conditions and when arrested he allegedly began “shouting and swearing”.

District Judge Mark McGarrity┬ásaid he was prepared to re-admit the defendant to bail but he warned him that he was at “considerable jeopardy”.

The case was adjourned to January 7.
