Man is accused of failing to pay for ‘red diesel’

A MAN is accused of making off without paying for ‘red diesel’ on three occasions.

Patrick McKinney (35), with an address listed as Ballymurphy Parade in Belfast, had the case mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday.

He is accused of making off with intent to avoid paying for red diesel worth £25.06 on April 23 last year; red diesel worth £25.04 on May 16 and red diesel worth £30 on June 9 last year.

No further details were given to the court and the case was adjourned to February 6.
