A man faces charges of having a chisel and a knuckleduster as offensive weapons.

Connor Ward (19), with an address at Dunclug Gardens in Ballymena, is accused of having the items at Fisherwick Gardens in the town on January 17 this year.

He is also accused of assaulting a man; making a threat to kill the man; being disorderly and resisting a police officer in the execution of his duty on the same date.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday and adjourned to July.
