Man is accused of having offensive weapon – a knuckleduster

A MAN is charged with possessing an offensive weapon – a knuckleduster – in a public place.

James Harwood (21), of Tobar Park in Cullybackey, is also accused of possessing fireworks without a licence.

The charges relate to the Beechgrove Manor area of Ballymena on November 2 this year.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court on December 19 where the defence solicitor was Stewart Ballentine.

The case has been adjourned to January 9.
