A man has been charged with fraud by false representation by allegedly presenting clothing which he had not purchased in an attempt to obtain a refund.
Robert McCamley (35), with an address listed as Linenhall Street in Ballymena, is accused of offences involving clothing worth £125 at Wallace’s in Ballymena and clothing worth £55 at DV8 in the town.
He is also charged with the theft of a soundbar speaker and earphones worth £45 from B&M Bargains at Ballymena’s Braidwater Retail Park.
The defendant was not present at Ballymena Magistrates Court.
A defence lawyer said the defendant was not there as he had been recalled to custody on licence.
The case was adjourned to August 29.
