Man is banned from road after driving aunt’s Audi

Ballymena Court.

A MOTORIST who was carrying out work on his aunt’s vehicle has been banned from the road for a month and fined £200 for driving the Audi A6 without insurance and being an unaccompanied learner driver without L plates displayed.

William Jake Stewart (20), of River View in Ballymena, committed the offences on August 21 this year when police spotted the vehicle.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court defence solicitor Stewart Ballentine said the defendant had made a “very short journey”.
