Man is charged with having knife as offensive weapon

A MAN has been charged with possessing an offensive weapon – a knife – with intent to commit grievous bodily harm.
Andrew James McCormick (31), with an address given as Trostan Avenue in Ballymena, is alleged to have committed offences on October 1 this year.
Regarding the same date he is also charged with assaulting two females and is accused of making a threat to kill one of them.
The defendant is also charged with causing criminal damage to a clothes dryer belonging to one of the females.
The defendant appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday where a prosecutor said the full file in the case is not due to be given to them by police by November 22.
The defendant was given £500 bail and is to have no contact with the two complainants and is banned from entering the Ballee area of Ballymena.
The case has been adjourned to December.
