A Coleraine man who has allegedly been videoed by a so-called paedophile hunting group has appeared at court from custody.
Harold Burke (59), of Quilly Road, is charged with two counts of attempted sexual communication with a child and two of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.
He is also accused of possessing 370 rounds of .22 ammunition in suspicious circumstances. The charges relate to July and August last year.
He appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday via video link from Maghaberry Prison.
A prosecutor said they had not received the full file yet from police.
She said the file was nearly finished but phone reports were awaited and they are expected in mid-March.
The prosecutor asked for a further four weeks and she hoped by that stage her department will have received the police file.
District Judge Peter King said he had been told previously the file was almost complete.
Adjourning the case for two weeks instead of the requested four the judge said he was conscious of “slippage” in the case and wanted to keep a “close eye” on the matter.
