Man was uninsured because of the time of the day

Court

A MAN in a Seat Leon at Dunluce Avenue in Portrush at 1.20am on April 25 this year was uninsured as although he had cover through a family member’s trade insurance it did not extend to that time of the night, a defence lawyer said.

Sheldon John Ashley McBride (25), of Millicent Avenue, Balnamore, appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court and admitted absence of insurance and failing to produce a driving licence.

He was given six penalty points and fined £325.
