Man who lives in former home of double murderer Colin Howell has criminal damage charge withdrawn

AN academic who owns a former home of convicted double murderer Colin Howell has had a charge of causing criminal damage to a fence and blackthorn hedge belonging to a neighbour withdrawn after a prosecutor said the matter was “rectified to the satisfaction” of the other party.

Dr Andrew Biggart (54), of Glebe Road near Castlerock, had been charged with causing criminal damage to the fence and hedge belonging to David Mahon on a date unknown between February 20 and March 7, 2017.

The case was mentioned at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday September 2.
