A MAN who admitted making off without paying for ‘red diesel’ on three occasions has been given a six months jail sentence.
Patrick McKinney (35), with an address listed as Ballymurphy Parade in Belfast, had the case mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court.
He made off without paying for red diesel worth £25.06 on April 23 last year; red diesel worth £25.04 on May 16 and red diesel worth £30 on June 9 last year.
The defendant appeared at court by video link from prison.
District Judge Nigel Broderick said “this was not once but three incidents” which were in breach of suspended sentences.
He was given a one month sentence for the new offences and a five months suspended sentence was also activated.
