Ballymena Court

A 22-year-old man has been barred from entering Primark in Ballymena as part of bail conditions as he awaits sentencing for stealing a £1.50 pair of earrings from the store.

Lee Gildea, whose address was given as no fixed abode in Ballymena, stole the earrings on June 5 and appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court the next day.

He also admitted having cannabis.

He was also barred from entering the TK Maxx store in Bangor where he had attempted to steal items in April this year.

The defendant, whose solicitor was Andrew Kinney, was released on £500 bail for a pre-sentence report to be brought to court in July.
