A man who previously admitted causing criminal damage, which was described at Ballymena Magistrates Court as a “hate crime”, has been given a four months jail term.

Kevin Alan Henderson (27), of Rossdale Manor, Ballymena, damaged a window, window blinds and a picture belonging to a person on September 30 last year.

On the same date he damaged a front door belonging to another person.

The defendant was given the jail term at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday.
