Men charged following alleged incidents near Ballymena Police Station are released on bail

TWO men charged following alleged incidents close to Ballymena Police Station on November 7 last year have granted bail.

Sean Paul McManus (34), of Linenhall Street, Ballymena, and Mark Alan Davidson (28), of Carnduff Drive in Ballymena, are jointly charged with the aggravated burglary of a dwelling at Galgorm Road with intent to steal.

They are further accused of going equipped for burglary with a flick baton and are also charged with an attempted burglary of another dwelling at Galgorm Road.

Davidson is also charged with possessing Pregabalin, Diazepam and Maxitram with intent to supply; possession of the drugs and possession of cannabis.

The cases were mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court on January 9.

The bail conditions include 10pm-6am curfews; electronic tagging and a ban from entering Galgorm Road and Princes Street.

The cases have been adjourned to February 6.
