A MOTORIST was over the drink drive limit in the car park of Ballymena Health and Care Centre.
Michelle Ann Neeson (44), of Eaton Fields in Ballymena, was detected at the centre on the town’s Cushendall Road on December 5 last year.
She had a preliminary sample of 167 and an evidential reading of 137 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath – the legal limit is 35 micrograms.
At Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday the defendant pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol in her breath.
The full details of the case have yet to be outlined to the court.
However, the charge sheet showed the location of the offence.
District Judge Nigel Broderick said he was adjourning the case for a pre-sentence report.
He told the defendant it was a “serious” matter given the “very high reading”.
The judge said he wanted a report prepared on the defendant so he could “consider all options” available to him when she returns to court.
The defendant was given an interim driving disqualification.
The matter has been adjourned to mid-February.
