Police attention was drawn to vehicle because it was driving slowly

POLICE attention was drawn a vehicle because it was travelling at a “slow speed” in Ballymena town centre on September 22 this year and an insurance offence was then detected.

William Martin (20), of Rosses Lane, Ballymena, was using a Vauxhall Corsa at Church Street in Ballymena, when the offence came to light.

A defence lawyer told Ballymena Magistrates Court the defendant had gone into the town to collect a family member.

The defendant, a university student, was banned from driving for four weeks and fined £150.
