A POULTRY worker who drove with excess alcohol in his blood at Linenhall Street in Ballymena has been banned from the road for 18 months and fined £375.
Cosmin Volentir (35), of Queen Street in Ballymena, was also an unaccompanied L driver and not have L plates displayed on May 5 this year.
He appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday.
The court heard he had an alcohol in blood reading of 227 with the legal limit being 80.
District Judge Nigel Broderick said it was a “very high reading”.
