TV licence woman spends three nights in custody

Court

A WOMAN spent three nights in custody after being arrested on foot of two warrants for not paying a TV licence on dates in 2017 and also earlier this year.

Wendy Todd (26), of Rathkyle in Antrim, appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court on Monday from custody.

A judge said that due to the time spent in custody from Friday he was remitting both fines and the defendant was released.
