Two men in court charged in connection with road death

Krystian Cadler died following a collision.

Two men appeared in the dock at Coleraine Magistrates Court charged in connection with an incident in which a man died in a road collision.

Krystian Cadler, a 19-year-old Polish man who had lived in Kilrea, passed away after a collision at Agivey Road near Kilrea on May 14 three years ago.

Lukasz Warchol (34), of Claragh Hill Drive, Kilrea, is charged with causing the death of Mr Cadler by dangerous driving at Agivey Road.

He faces a second charge of dangerous driving on roads including Claragh Hill Road in Kilrea and Lodge Road, Coleraine.

Donal Patrick Mulholland (52), of Glasgort Road near Aghadowey, faces three charges.

The first charge is causing the death of Mr Cadler by driving without due care and attention at Agivey Road; causing Mr Cadler’s death whilst ‘driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence’ at Agivey Road; and causing Mr Cadler’s death whilst using a vehicle without insurance at Agivey Road.

The case was adjourned to mid-August.
