Woman again detected driving without insurance is banned from road for a month

Ballymena Court

A WOMAN with a previous conviction for driving without insurance has been banned from driving for a month and fined £200 after another detection.

Lucia Marinisova (31), from Rossdale, Ballymena, used a Skoda car on June 27 this year at Camphill Park in Ballymena

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court where her solicitor was Stewart Ballentine.

She had also been detected doing 38mph in a 30mph zone in December last year and was fined £60 for that offence.

Mr Ballentine said it had not been the “best of years” for the defendant as she has previously been in court for an insurance offence.

He said “financial difficulties” was the main reason for the absence of insurance cover but that she had now “put her house in order”.
