A WOMAN charged in connection with an incident where a car plunged down a steep coastal embankment has appeared in court.
Deborah Shaw (44), of Beach Road, Portballintrae, is accused of driving with excess alcohol in her breath at Bayhead Road, Portballintrae, on January 27 this year.
She has appeared at Coleraine Magistrates Court where a police officer said she believed she could connect her to the charge.
No further details regarding the charge were outlined to District Judge Oonagh Mullan.
The case was adjourned to next week.
The charge follows an incident on Monday January 27 this year when a car plunged over the side of an embankment at Portballintrae harbour.
The fire and ambulance service were called to the scene on Bayhead Road, shortly after 8pm on January 27.
Firefighters made the vehicle safe while the woman driving the car was treated by the ambulance service.
