Woman denies stealing items from Tesco

A BALLYMENA woman has pleaded not guilty to charges of theft from Tesco in Ballymena.

Denise Picken (37), with an address listed as Moat Road, is accused of stealing items from Tesco on eight dates in May this year.

According to the charge sheets, the amounts involved ranged from £1.25 to £27.05 with the total amount being around £80.

The defendant appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday, where the defence solicitor was Stewart Ballentine, and the case was adjourned to October to fix a date for a contest.
