Woman has 28 previous convictions for no insurance

A WOMAN with twenty-eight previous no insurance offences is accused of using a Peugeot without insurance.

Louise Todd (42), of Blackthorn Rise in Larne is charged in connection with an alleged detection at Point Street in Larne on August 9 this year.

She is also charged with using a hand-held mobile phone on the same date.

Defence solicitor Kevin MacAllister said that despite the record the defendant currently had a clean licence and there had been no insurance offences since 2008.

The case at Ballymena Magistrates Court was adjourned to November 14.
