Woman is accused of stealing bank card and also faces 14 charges of fraud by false representation

A WOMAN has been charged with stealing a Nationwide visa card and fourteen charges of fraud by false representation.

Christine McKendry (32), of Allisons Hill near Kells, is alleged to have stolen the card on August 7 this year.

The theft allegation is that she stole the card belonging to Melvin McKendry’s estate.

The fraud charges allegedly involve dishonestly making false representations by using the card on dates including August 8, August 14, August 15, August 16, August 18, August 19, August 20, August 21 and August 22 ‘to cause a loss to Melvin McKendry’s estate’.

No further details have been given to the court.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court on December 12 and adjourned to January.
