£15 million scheme will see 126 new homes in Antrim

The Planning Committee of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council has granted planning permission to Tolvin Contractors, a subsidiary of Hagan Homes, for a major new residential development at Ballyveigh, Antrim comprising 126 units incorporating a mix of houses and apartments with 15 different house types to be built.

Following the decision, Committee Chairman, Councillor Henry Cushinan, said: “I am pleased with the plans for this new housing development.

“Antrim is a sought after area with a high demand for housing and it is great to offer more options for future residents. The scheme represents an investment in excess of £15 million by the developer and will help maintain construction jobs in the town.”

He added: “The application was processed in just over six months and demonstrates the Council’s continued commitment to work positively with the development industry and turn around major applications speedily, a key outcome of the transfer of planning powers to the Council.”
