A man with a “poor” record has been banned from driving for six months and fined £400 after being caught on the road without insurance.
Dellmee James (26), a window maker, of Kincora, Ballymena, had the offence detected in July this year.
He was given six penalty points for the offence which put him up to 12 points which in turn prompted the ban.
Defence solicitor Stewart Ballentine said a direct debit had been set up however the policy had been cancelled unknown to his client.
The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court on December 6.
