Ballymena man stole £305 worth of groceries from Tesco in Antrim

A Ballymena man has pleaded guilty to stealing groceries worth £305 from Tesco in Antrim and the attempted theft of groceries and alcohol worth £283 from Asda on the same date – April 28 this year.

Mark Hillis (44), of Waring Street, appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday June 14 where his solicitor was Nigel McIlrath.

The case was adjourned to July 19 for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
