Mid and East Antrim is set to host the Northern Ireland Chamber Networking Series – an event aimed at boosting business links and growth.

More than 100 business professionals will take part in the event at Mid and East Antrim Borough Council’s headquarters, The Braid in Ballymena.

Those attending will be given vital insights into how they can grow their businesses through stronger relationships.

The event, sponsored by Northern Ireland Electricity, will feature structured networking, a featured business spotlight segment, and a question and answer session with Donald Finlay, Director of Douglas and Grahame, producers of Remus Uomo menswear and other brands.

Donald will share his experience of building a sustainable business with a long-term future.

Guests will also hear about Mid and East Antrim’s recently launched integrated economic strategy for the borough, Amplify.

Mayor of Mid and East Antrim, Councillor Lindsay Millar, said: “Growing the economy is our Council’s number one priority and we are delighted to be hosting the NI Chamber Networking Series on Wednesday 22 August.

“Economic growth can only be achieved by Council working in tandem with business and key stakeholders.

“It is important that we continue to do all within our power to identify and grasp every opportunity we have to grow our economy, by working hand-in-hand with our businesses.

“Crucial to those plans is Amplify, which we launched earlier this year.

“It aims to promote the development of Mid and East Antrim right through until 2030, by backing businesses from the start-up to growth phases.

“The support and opportunities available from the new business programmes offered through ‘Amplify’ help to create a vibrant business culture within our borough.

“We are blessed with an abundance of talent in Mid and East Antrim, and it is vital we work together to harness those skills and potential by providing practical advice and guidance for start-ups and established businesses.

“I thank the Chamber for organising what promises to be an excellent event. The line-up of delegates and speakers is superb and I’m certain that the relationships created and developed at the event will lead to increased business growth and stronger ties.”
