A Ballycastle man accused of causing an accident whilst driving a Citroen Berlingo van when he was disqualified has appeared in the dock at Coleraine Magistrates Court.
Jack Carson (19), of Carnduff Park, is alleged to have driven without due care and attention at Hillside Road near Ballycastle on August 17 this year.
Other charges he faces include: driving while disqualified; absence of insurance and failing to remain and report a damage only accident.
A police officer told the court on October 1 she believed she could connect the accused to the charges.
The defendant’s legal representative was Brendan McLernon.
The case was adjourned to October 29 and the court heard the case may proceed to the Crown Court.
The defendant was released on £500 bail.
