A man who had previously denied allegations of damaging a door and window and possessing an offensive weapon – a bull hook – in a public place at Larne’s Seacourt Road – has had the charges withdrawn after accepting a caution.

Michael Beggs (21), whose address was given as Britannia Crescent, Larne, was charged in relation to May last year.

The case was mentioned at Ballymena Magistrates Court on February 14.
