Coleraine cocaine accused have cases adjourned to New Year

Coleraine Court

FIVE people charged in relation to a police undercover operation targeting the sale of cocaine in the Coleraine area have had their cases further adjourned to January.

They were side by side in the dock at Coleraine Magistrates Court on November 26.

All are from Coleraine and face charges including supplying cocaine; possession of the Class A drug with intent to supply and having cocaine on various dates ranging from late 2017 to the middle of this year.

Ellen Culbertson (27), of Carthall Road and Jonathan Paul Drake (30), of Pates Lane, each face 22 charges; while Corey Kennedy (21), of Hazelbank Road, faces 18 charges.

Alan Francis Cahoon (59), of Cypress Drive and Catherine Michelle Henderson (46), of Society Street, each face six charges.

When the five – and a sixth person who was not before Monday’s Court – first appeared at court in June this year a police officer said the charges were linked to an “ongoing pro-active, covert operation” in the Coleraine area.

That court heard the allegations involved cocaine at a number of locations including a Coleraine bar.
