Mid & East Antrim Borough Council has agreed to purchase a second table of ten on Sunday August 19, the last day of the Northern Ireland Open golf tournament at Galgorm Castle.

Chief Executive Anne Donaghy told the main August meeting of the council: “A number of elected members have requested to attend on the Sunday and in order to facilitate the extra places I have negotiated a reduced price in order to provide a second table of ten at half the cost.”

She sought approval to purchase the second table and it was proposed by Councillor Stephen Nicholl (Ulster Unionist), seconded by Councillor Beth Adger (DUP), and agreed by councillors.
