POLICE searched a man’s home and found eight grammes of cannabis.
David Freeburn (21), of Orkney Drive, Ballymena, had the offence detected on May 25 this year.
At Ballymena Magistrates Court on November 1, where his legal representative was solicitor Nigel McIlrath, the defendant admitted a charge of possessing the Class B drug.
Mr McIlrath said the defendant found that taking cannabis helped with depression and anxiety.
The defendant was ordered to do 40 hours of Community Service.
