Judge tells drugs teen: ‘You were done’

WHEN a court heard a teenager told police he paid £40 for drugs which officers estimated to be worth £25, a judge said the defendant had been “done” and a defence lawyer added: “In more sense than one”.

Nathan Lamour (18), with an address at Mount Street Mews in Coleraine, was caught with cannabis on September 25 this year at Coleraine Train Station.

The defence lawyer told Coleraine Magistrates Court, sitting on October 22, the defendant was serving a jail sentence for stealing to buy drugs and was due for release on November 10.

The defendant was given a one month jail sentence for the train station offence but it will not interfere with his release date.
