LIAM Neeson says it was a “no brainer” to work with his son Micheal in a new film.
The Ballymena actor stars as Nels Coxman in the new action movie ‘Cold Pursuit’ alongside Jurassic Park’s Laura Dern and Emmy Rossum.
The film follows a snowplow driver seeking revenge against drug dealers he thinks killed his son.
Neeson suggested his real-life son Micheal Richardson, (23), for the role of Coxman’s son Kyle to the director and producer.
Neeson told IANS: “Micheal read for the part and he got it. I was pleased, pleased for him too.”
“We didn’t have to pretend to have a relationship, do you know what I mean?”
Neeson said the choice was better than having a strange actor pretending to be his son.
“Micheal is my son and he has got some of my body language and I have got some of his, so I think that comes across.
“It was a no-brainer with regard to acting with him. It was just having a regular conversation with your boy,” said the star.
