POLICE are appealing for information after a Lifebuoy Ring was removed from a stand in Crumlin Glen and ‘burnt’.
A spokeperson said on social media on Monday: “Not only did they remove it but it is believed they burnt the said item.
“This is not acceptable, the financial implications aside, this has potentially life ending consequences.
“It is senseless acts of vandalism like this and Defibrillator removals which leave me angry.
“It is with thanks to the local member of the public that this item will be flagged for replacement with the Council.
“If you were in the Glen area at the weekend, and observed someone tampering with the Lifebuoy you can help our investigation, just ring Police on 101 and quote CC2019012100323.”
