AN Aghadowey man accused of breaching a Violent Offences Prevention Order has been further remanded in custody.

Gary Woods (29), of Clarehill Park, is alleged to have failed to advise his designated risk manager ‘of loss of phone’ on February 4 this year.

Regarding February 6, it is alleged the defendant had a sim card in the Belfast area which he had not registered with his risk manager.

The third breach alleges that a police officer saw Woods using a mobile phone which was not registered with the risk manager.

On Monday, Coleraine Magistrates Court heard, the defendant had claimed he had been using an iPad and not a mobile phone and that the sim card was to be checked.
