Ballymena Magistrates Court

A man accused of murdering his uncle appeared at Ballymena Magistrates Court on Thursday and his case was further adjourned.

Marek Marcin Sinko (36), of Townhill Road, Rasharkin, is alleged to have murdered Eugeniusz Sinko on October 22 last year.

The defendant had previously appeared at the same court in May.

He was on bail and walked into the court room on Thursday from the waiting room.

A prosecutor said a full file has been requested and asked for an eight week adjournment.

A defence lawyer for the defendant, who was wearing a blue suit along with a shirt and tie, said he had no contrary submissions.

The case was adjourned to August for a further update and the defendant was released on continuing bail.

The victim was aged 53 and died from brain injuries. His body was discovered lying outside a cottage on Townhill Road that both men shared.
