A Larne man has admitted fraud by false representation by using a man’s account details to pay a bill without his permission.

Philip Bell (27), of Alexandra Crescent, committed the offence on December 1, 2017.

At Ballymena Magistrates Court on January 31, defence barrister Neil Moore said the defendant had been diagnosed “very late in the day” with autism.

“That has had a direct effect on his criminality,” claimed the lawyer.

The case has been adjourned to mid-February for a pre-sentence report.
